Our Approach

What is ABA?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is an intensive human services intervention which utilizes evidence-based principles of behavior to address problems and related solutions to an individuals’ everyday life. ABA therapy is built on the science of behavior; it utilizes behavior interventions such as positive reinforcement, shaping, functional communication training, prompting, etc. to address socially significant behaviors including reducing maladaptive behaviors, teaching replacement behaviors, functional communication, daily living skills, and social skills.

Our Approach

At the Neurodiverse BCBA Behavioral Consulting, we are committed to providing progressive, neurodiversity-affirming ABA therapy to all clients and families. This means that we only utilize evidence-based behavioral strategies that are compassionate, ethical, and supported by neurodiverse individuals. We commit to only target meaningful, individualized goals that are client-driven and necessary for that individuals' personal success. We acknowledge that the science of ABA therapy is still young and ever evolving, and thus we strive to continually learn from the community whom we serve.
